OBRA welcomes new members within the 88 counties in Ohio our membership is a variety of professionals, past and present candidates, retirees, and more. We offer many benefits for our OBRA members as we continue to grow and expand. You will find that OBRA is on a challenging and exciting quest to identify and recruit individuals whose values and beliefs are consistent with the ideals, philosophy, and principles espoused by The Republican Party. Collectively, we can join in strengthening The GOP; electing qualified candidates; reaching out, and articulating the message to all races of what is needed to bring about positive socioeconomic change in the African American community and this great state.

The Membership Form

Expansion of OBRA membership is a key priority and any individual who meets the following criteria may be admitted to the organization. The membership year is January 1 thru January 1. (Refer to the Membership Application for current annual dues.)

Membership Defined

Active: Any citizen of the United States of America who is at least eighteen years of age, a resident of the state of Ohio and a registered Republican, is eligible for Active membership in the organization.

Associate: Any individual, who is at least eighteen years of age, a resident of the state of Ohio and has demonstrated a public intention of becoming a registered Republican, as soon as possible, is eligible for associate membership in the organization. An Associate member has all rights and privileges of active members, except that he or she may not hold office.

Student: Any citizen of the United States of America who is at least eighteen years of age but no more than 26 years of age, is a resident of the state of Ohio, a registered Republican, and registered in a learning institution as a full -or part-time student, is eligible for student membership in the organization. A Student member has all rights and privileges of Active members, except that he or she may not hold office.

 

General Membership Meetings are held monthly, on the 2nd Saturday, 12 Noon, at 211 South Fifth Street, Columbus, OH, unless otherwise announced. Attendance by teleconference begins at 12:30 p.m.
